PostSubject: First look at my new Xgen Killbox.   Tue Feb 03, 2009 2:45 pm

The map is still in the early stages of development. (about 25% complete)

I'm able to work on it a lot though. Prolly 2 weeks or so and it will be done.

Enjoy.



The tunnel is unfinished. I'm think about putting break away glass across the bottom. No hiding in there lol.



Distant shot of the all new XGEN launcher 5000. Complete with the custom XGEN green LED light.



Here is a shot from the opposite corner as the first pic. The Blue\greenish box in the distance houses the new XGEN all glass elevator.



Here's a shot from the top of the elevator shaft looking down.

Here is a pic of what i like to call the XGEN Eclipse!



Random pic of the killbox. My back is against the Elevator shaft.



The first look at the XGEN all glass elevator. Don't worry , i plan on cutting the grass and adding the appropriate flooring materials.

As I've previously said, make sure the lighting is nicely done, and doesn't get on your nerves. Everything else should be practical and all. Hope there'll be a testing open for us soon. Twisted Evil

i worked a lot on it tonight. Got the lighting changed to red glows. toned down sun levels and made it more dusk-like (orange-like glow).

Almost done with layout. Hopefully i can finish layout tomorrow and we can test for bugs, player snag, and most important playability.

after that i'll add props, ammo, weapons (No Rpg), Xgen logos, health, shields, etc.

Nice...I wish I had time to try it out when you finish it...but the next two weeks are hell for me, I wish I could freeze time. Wouldn't that be nice lol.

**UPDATE**

i'm about done with initial layout.

Like i've said before, i'm most concerned with playability at this point. My materials, props, lighting, etc is no where near 100%.

I guess i should add a few props and weapons for the test. May have it ready by friday or the weekend. Cross your fingers

Started to detail a little. The sprites in the lower right corner are left overs from a project and will be deleted.

again. The sprite will be removed.



This was me testing something out... Think i'm gonna do a Xgen logo under the glass here instead of the red balls.

i got some good ideas after looking at the pics this morning. I'll put them on tonight and maybe if i get it done you guys can walk through the map.

It would help a lot to have other ppl mess around on the map and give me their thoughts/ideas.

Meant to have it ready for a test run this weekend but i failed.

I'll shoot for 1 night next week.

It looks like it's gonna run the best and a mid gravity setup. like 200 to 300. But i'll see what you guys think.
