that's why they did the episodes. So the public wouldnt have to wait that long for HL3.

Yea, bliz is the worst... They love to tease you by announcing the game years before it's done and giving you a bogus release date.

Speaking of, I did some research and found out a new patch IS coming for D2! 1.13. It's called, "The Myth, The Legend".

The release date was supposed to be a few months back but got pushed due to a critical flaw found.

Now it's going through extensive testing.

Also, it's supposed to be dupe proof. Bliz is really going after ebay auctions and D2 stores.

Here is their thoughts... and it makes perfect sense too.

They will be removing the "roll back" on servers. Any hardcore D2 fan knows what roll back is. Dupers exploit roll back, and that's how they dupe. Drop items you want to dupe, Lag a server till it desync 's, then bring in a new guy to pick up the items. Then have that guy leave. Have the original guy stay in until you get connection interrupted. The server will roll back and give back the items the guy dropped before desync.

The draw back to removing the roll back feature is if a server lags out and you have items on the ground you'll lose them. (and also "Hardcore" players would suffer a bit) But, actually, most lag is produced by dupers anyway... So it makes sense that if roll back is removed, dupers wont lag the server meaning you wont have to worry about interrupted connections nearly as much.

when blizzard says their coming out with a game the wait time on the game is usually 5-6 years.

It's all so true. Blizzard spend a ridiculous amount of time "polishing" and "adding finishing touches" to a game.

The end results are fucking amazing and turn out to be legendary games, though, you gotta admit. Look at World of Warcraft and Starcraft. Hell, look at my favourite: D2LoD!

Been a proud fan of Blizzard since the good ol' Warcraft 2 days. That was a while back, heh.

Same, I've still got the very original Diablo 1 CD game from back in 1997. I wonder how much it's worth now...

if this is legit, the textures, lighting and overall appearance appear spot on for the latest generation of the Source engine, nothing like other fakes I've seen before. The glowing trail is possibly something from an Advisor outside of its containment and environmental suit. I'm getting all gooey with, antici...pation! (My best Dr. Frankenfurter)
