Rank Displayer ?

Hello everyone, as some of you might think, i am NOT dead

ive been working alot lately: job, school projects, and personnal ones..

one of them is called Rank Displayer, an EventScripts plugin that displays ranks in chat.( i didnt worked on the name )
its a really simple plugin and i was wondering if you guys would be like to have it on the servers.

its usage is very simple, almost the same way as the admin chat :

type ## followed by your text like this;
## hello XGeN!!

assuming your rank is : Member

it would display
Member MomemtumMori : Hello XGeN!!


tell me what you think and if you want it (im sure you do, YES YOU! )

first of all, ....no steam activity AT ALL.......... and no hello's or explanations till now?
you should get on steam when you're free and play with us in game.

I like your addon. looks great. i'd use it.

Meanwhile, no progress in any way on my mod.

Valve really sucks at their code, in multiplayer when NPC's are spawned, the game will crash from a pure virtual function call.
At the moment all I can really do is add new weapons.
Maybe I could work on some shit for DM.

Anyway, nice plugin, but I thought we had a rank system on our servers?

I like it! Could be useful,...or even modified for other purposes.

Its not a ranking system because it doesnt gather any data. Its only purpose is to display
the community rank of the user in chat when used.

@marky well im playing CSS in my free time and i went on the SW server a couple weeks ago and there was no one for hours, which discouraged me and didnt came back since then. About the steam activity, i think youre using my old "MomemtumMori" account. my new one is NOLLIATH so add me

I get it. So bacially its something only clan members will know to do. so when we chat other peeps will be like, "hey, how do i get that?" haha

Zilla said it all, only mistake : "only clan members will be able to do."

and no there not many purposes right now ^^

well yea... unless a member tells a non member to put the ## in front.

meh.. ive taken precautions to prevent that, you got to be in the db to be able to use it

and in this same database is stored your rank, your name and maybe some other things in the future.

The script is simple, if the caller (person who typed ##) is in the db, it continues, otherwise it exit and display an error to the caller.
If you are in the db, it looks for your rank(an integer 0 to x) and change it into a string.
Then finally is displays your rank, then your name(from the game and not from the db) followed by your text.

simple as that, so only poeple that CAN do will do.
